Quad machinegun

So I've researched quad machinegun, but I don't seem to be able to design a MG model to use them.
How do you use this tech?

Ok, never mind. Apparently quad MG is a new type of model that you need to discover and design AFTER you have researched the tech. That could be more clear from the ingame description.

AFAIK, Quad MG's are also useable on light Walkers. And maybe some vehicles?

They're foot troops like normal MG's, there's a mechanized Quad MG, and Walkers can have MG's, but I don't think Quad MG's.

There is a mechanized quad machine gun unit too.
