Recruiting "Corporate Scientist" strat gives unreasonable result 1.04

Post by ydmatrix2 »

The stratagem to recruit a "Corporate Scientist" is rather rare (corporate faction unique strat), expensive (20pp) and states: "Recruit an experienced scientist from the Corporate Workforce".

Of course there is a dice roll involved in the outcome, but the result should be at least somewhat reasonable. In this case, the recruited leader has practically no experience, and none of it is in "science-related" skills such as Science/Inventor and maybe Technician.

He has high intel assign him the task and he will get MUCH better he has 4 skill in each right now.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

That’s a truly awful leader. I wouldn’t use a cap 1 leader for any science roll.

42 Intelligence gives him a massive(!) bonus to learning the skills, the Skill Level Cap and the skills themself. At 20 Skill Level he will roll 62. And he should have 0 issues getting there.
For Admin he has immediate skills. But he also brings some Improvisation for all those other skills, on top of the Group Sharing.

The low capacity means he will learn skills slower, but there still is the Int 42 bonus as well.
