This kind of design can result in many issues for purchasers moving forward. It creates a very brittle installation chain.

This should only affect people who bought the game at launch.

There was a bug in the 1.01 version that stopped our automatic update system working, which is why we remastered to 1.02 (which is now delivered to users on purchase).

I agree that it's an issue, and we usually catch these before they get anywhere near the public, but we made a mistake with this one I'm afraid.
