Powerpoint org charts

Post by LGKMAS »

Some time ago, I found and downloaded a number of org charts in PowerPointall the ships etc. AS with all the Allied groupings, right down to sdns of a/c and BFs etc. And colour coded by when the units arrive. And placed them under the historical HQs
The trouble is now I cannot find it. I have tried looking in the forum search engine and Googling etc. But either I am using the wrong terms or I am looking in the wrong place. I thought it was in the beginners info page but that doesn't bring up anything.

Can some kind soul suggest where I might find it?

I don't recall any Powerpoint slides, but that could be in Kull's spreadsheets for both Allied and Japanese sides. Search Kull

Probably something from jdsrae. Check out the link in this thread. Doesn't have the unit lists, but definitely all the HQs.

I might have what you're looking for, just not quite sure how to get them to you.

Thanks Kull. That was what I was looking for. Now to bookmark it so I don't have to embarrass myself by asking again later.

Go ahead and ask again. It will be a stupid question though but we have all asked them at one time or another.

The only dumb question is the one that hasn't need asked. The only stupid question is one that has been asked twice. A question seeking clarification is not a stupid question unless it has already been asked and answered.

I am starting to think I am in the third category.

This is a really complex game and if I don't pay attention to where I pick up info and hints and tips, I find myself wondering if it was real or am I just hoping that was the answer. And I am a bit untidy when I download things. I tend to forget where I put them. As usual, putting something in an obvious place today does not guarantee it will be obvious a week later.

Alfred is being very patient with me for which I am thankful.

I am a computer user, rather than a computer geek. I am fearful of opening an editor and flipping the wrong switch so I am very reluctant to dive under the hood and start switching things this early in my experience. After I get maybe a year or two of game play under my belt without losing all my gameplay to date, I might look at what the various benefits are in tweaking the system.

I am reading a number of AARs, nearly all in scenarios I am not playing and also in PBEM. Every one of them has an Oh Bugger moment when I realise I have been doing something wrong. Then there are the Ahah! moments when I see how someone else has found a solution to something that has been bugging me for weeks. The suggestions by the legion of players out there happy to assist makes this forum a delight, as opposed to some others.

Some suggestions:

Have a folder in your bookmarks for WITPAE to put all of your bookmarks in.
Save under another name, then use the editor.
If you need to, type up a "to do" list for tasks. Every turn, every week, every month. Some things need to be checked every day, others not so much such as pilots in training.
Have a folder for any downloads and any notes or anything that you write about the game. Keep that in a separate folder for things relating to the game.

Here's a link to an interesting site for Task Forces.
