Adding Maps to Existing Scenarios

Post by WMMangus »

Hi All,

This is not a problem, per se, but a request for help.

I've upgraded to a new, large, wide screen monitor and with it I find most of the scenarios with 1-4 maps to be too far to the left to play without significant eye strain and shifting viewpoint.

Is there a way to add maps to the left side of an existing scenario such that the playable area is shifted more towards the middle of my monitor to avoid the constant shifting of viewpoint from left/right and back. Just need to keep everything in the middle of the screen somehow.

The added maps don't have to be playable, just added to the left end of the scenario map range for spacing in the monitor view.

I've played around with the editor but all I've been able to do is mess up a copy of a scenario I've used to test.

Thanks,

Hi there Bill,

Unfortunately there arn't any way. You would have to recreate the scenario in the editor. Export the map from the scenario and import it into a new sector. Change the OB to fit the new map instead and then remove the old map. It's a bit of work but for small scenarios it is doable.

That's kind of what I figured. I'll try this method and see how it turns out.

Thanks for the reply.
