Metal Woes

Keep running out of metals. How do I found out where they're being used? I suspect it's private industry so not sure if that's a good thing or not. Also, how to I get more?

I didn't think private industry used SHQ / public stocks. Do you have sufficient logistics to move your metals from where they are generated, to SHQ and then to where they are needed?

Private industry does not draw from SHQ stockpiles.

If your metals are disappearing it's most likely you are building more than your mines can support.

You either do not have enough metal income or you can not ship it all back to the SHQ. Check zone supplies you can check all of them easily by going to mng screen at the top left and assets and on the left are some options to go through to see what a zone needs, produces and exports easy to switch between them too. I there is also info in the tooltip if you hover over metal in the SHQ

Metal is primarily acquired by build mines on metal deposits or recycling assets on ruins. On beginner difficulty you will always have a metal deposit next to your capitol.

Nearly every building and military unit requires some amount of metal to construct. Thus, running out of metal is a critical failure in your economy. It needs to be addressed immediately.

Yeah I had too much construction going on at once. Taking time to figure out what the forward resource demands are.
