No Navy?

I tried searching the forum and found nothing on the topic, but curious if there will be water/ocean planets and navies in the future. I always enjoyed the naval units in Advanced Tactics and was a little bummed they don't exist in SE, however, I'm just starting my first game so maybe it's so different I won't miss a water navy.

No, not yet. However, Vic sounded like he is entertaining the idea of 'water' worlds that would make having navies a requirement as part of a future DLC.
