Unit movement questions.

Post by VonWulfen »

Hi all.
On my first turn, I moved units in multiple directions to explore and expand my territory.
There are a number of interesting special hexes I will be able to explore on my next movement phase.
Do I need to move onto these hexes or will I capture them through just expanding my borders to include them within my territory?
Turn 2: I looked at my reports, made my decisions, played a few fate cards, then tried to move my units again.
It seems I am unable to move my units.
What is preventing my units from moving?
They are not blocked and I am at a loss why I am unable to carry on exploring?

Are they motorized and do you have fuel?

All special "Hex perks" need to be in your borders. No need to visit them directly with unit or building road there.

0) Stupid, but still : your units have limited action points :)
1) Your units MAY use fuel and if so have limited amount of it. Usually there is more then enough for their turn and then it will be replenished by your logistics, but if you're lacking fuel OR have issues with logistic network - well, engines do not work without fuel...
2) Units after upgrade/replacement are unable to move.
3) Units after strategic movement are unable to move.
4) Usually units are unable to move after attack too.

Also make sure you're actually in Move mode. I think I've changed it by accidentally hitting a hotkey a few times. Right-click on the currently selected hex to change order mode.
Not affiliated with Slitherine. They added it to my name when they merged the Slitherine and Matrix account systems.

Many thanks, chaps.
I went back to the previous save. I moved all the units in the same positions as previously.
This time I can move again on the second turn.
I did select move mode etc previously but it still made no difference.
All good now :)
