What about automated multiplayer?

Post by Arralen »

... as in "the game transfers the file to the other player automatically"?
If other games can do this for ages (like e.g. Dominions), why can't SE?

I mean - we surely don't need some lobby server or something, just some "connect via IP" .. but if I had to get my friends to PBEM, each turn will last 2 months b/c that's how often one of them checks his mails ...

Yes, I second the 'Dominions like' file transfer function. (which works great)
It would, certainly, enhance the multiplayer experience.
As one could than implement a 'lan party' type gathering.

One of the beauties of the current system is how easy it is to transfer a 'se1' file. (email is not the only way needed.)
