Prince of Wales hit by a Betty torpedo absolutely no damage?

Post by Cavalry Corp »

Just out of interest and I don't think I've ever had this in the game before the Prince of Wales was struck by a single torpedo from a Betty on December 9. The hit is confirmed on the ship screen itself. But there is actually zero damage. I did not know this is actually possible? Really zero damage.

It appeared to hit but was detonated by the wake of the ship.

There can be FOW in any kind of hit shown in the animation. There can also be synch bugs in PBEMs that change the outcome shown in the animation.

Of course it is possible.

A "hit" means exactly that and nothing more. Damage calculations are separate and can range from zero up to the maximum effect value of the weapon.
