Save file name conventions

Post by craigbear »

Not certain if this is a bug, but when I do "Save As" in a H2H game, the name is changed and adds an extra bit...

H2H - AaronCraig.GAM becomes H2H - H2H - AaronCraig.GAM

I would understand it, perhaps, if this came during an ordinary save, but I think Save As should maintain the original name.

The program always adds "H2H - " in front of a manually saved head-to-head game. That is, a save made by players where they type in the name.

A similar thing happens in NetPlay games where the program adds the prefix "NP - ".

Solitaire games have no prefix added.

The purpose for this is to keep the Saved Games folder sorted by mode of play. It makes it easier to find a game when you know whether it is solitaire, head-to-head, or NetPlay. My saved games folder/directory for the Global War scenario contains 9800 saved games - not counting the 1000+ I have placed in subdirectories within that directory.
