Reds (FJ) vs Canucks (Sandman)

You have to feel good about an upcoming PBEM game when you buy units just to ger rid of points

5000 points goes very very far when you play as the soviets

This turn I bought units and got them all deployed

The map is in southern europe and has large hills and sparse forests
The terrain is open but LOS is dominated by the hills

Their are a few small streams but many dirt roads provide fast movement across the map
This should be a good game

The battle has begun.
I didn't saw the enemy yet but the enemy saw my scouting Jeep and shot it to pieces of junk.:rolleyes:
I layed some smoke screens also before my turn.

I didnt buy near enough scouts....im still a little rusty

But things are moving forward well enough

He had first turn...so all of the victory hexes are his

I discovered some AT Guns and trucks as well as a wolverine tank

I lost a T-34 to a 17 lb gun and a jeep
A T-34 hit a truck and got its crew to bail

I was able to kill one Su-85 in the south and four T-34's in the north.

Russkies didn't hit anything.:p

Our scouts spotted some heavy armored KV-85's in the middle section also.

Now we'll see what Russkies can do at their next turn, hordes of tanks are pushing forward but I trust to Canucks, they can stop those intruder Commies...hopefully

It still amazes me how the Soviets won

Their equipment is just terrible

I managed to kill one Sherman V and a 17lb tanks gun

But lost Several T-34's and SU-85's in the process

Im finally starting to use my superior numbers to come into close range of his forces...lets hope that improves my tanks accuracy

I lost another Sherman V but I was able to kill couple of more Russkies tanks as well.

My boys missed a lot of shots, they must have found a Russkies vodka supplies and now the gunners are drunken or something.:rolleyes:

My Commandos made some nuisance when shooting couple of Soviets trucks, couple of Infantry squads were popped out and are pinned now.

Looks like the Russkies are pushing very strongly in the southern flank, maybe I need to re-concentrate my troops.

I didnt realize just how bad russian tanks were until this game

Canucks killed couple of more red tanks this time. At the end of turn Katyushas made some ruin among my infantry units behind the central hill.

We can play a mirrored re-match with same rules after this one if you want? Me Commies, you Canucks??;)

Sorry...I was away from the SpWaW comp over the weekend

This one will be over in 2-3 turns

I killed a Sherman V and about 5 infantry....and lost more tanks in the process

Russian tanks just flat out suck...and tou used your forces brilliantly

Some Russian infantry and truck losses in the northern part of map this time.
Unsuspecting infantry squads were just sitting in the trucks when Canucks surprised them.The resistance was minimal and the ruin was wide.

Most part of remaining units are now running back to the Moscow.

I was able to kill few more tanks as well and I think Russkies don't have much of them alive anymore.

Canucks are now holding all VH's except the central ones

3:1 in casulties caused
and 7:1 in tanks killed
