F2 key now defaults to decrease screen brightness

So the computer got one of those updates that Windows likes to run. Now in the game when I press the F2 key ( to go in rail mode for a unit ), the brightness of the screen goes down. It's working as the basic key function, instead of the game function. I can make the rail mode work if I hold down the FN along with the F2. Did the ( Windows ) update change some setting?

This won't help much but I'm up-to-date windows wise and it dosn't happen to mine. I suggest it isn't a windows update causing it but a computer bios update of some sort or maybe a video card upgrade.

After looking at a couple websites I restarted the comp to go into BIOS mode. Apparently it went rogue on me like Andrey Vlasov, changing the setting for the function keys. It has been returned to standard.
