Logistics query

Post by Chris0War »

As you can see in the picture logistics points are halved when they pass a certain point on the map. In previous turns the difference was even greater coming from the main line with about 4000 points and passing through this invisible barrier reducing to about the same amount of points you see in the picture, around a 1000 points

Is there any explanation?

Not to mention that in the hex guarded by the auto turret i have set up all kinds of transportation devices to see if this would influence the points by any means, so far the only change that really made a difference was extending the rail line more north. I thought i had read that rail goods only could be distributed by means of a station or railhead so this change left me even more confused.

some help explaining this situation would be very much appreciated

First of all you have too many road junctions which hinder the Logistic Points, I suggest you to destroy the connections marked with red

oke, did the changes ( not sure though how i can link the new image into this message, some directions are appreciated )

i do not see many changes though the road leading to the east just after the defensive base has a higher output for 1 hex before turning into the previous situation again

Your screenshot shows the "used points" overlay. That just shows you how many points were used, not how many there are on the tile. I don't actually see any problem on the screenshot. Try the bottleneck overlay instead.

About the junction thing Clux brought up, having too many junctions can be a problem, yes, but it's not necessarily a problem here. And in general I would always advice to just put 100% blocker traffic signs to shut down extra roads instead of demolishing the whole road.

I use 'P' for preview logistics points ever so often that it is my default setting. I support using 'T' for traffic sign use > removing roads, especially if they are in mountains. You never know if you might need that branch in the future...

The bottleneck is one large black stripe with some red parts here and there

After some consideration i noticed that the points where falling down fast from their point of origin so i decided on installing a new HQ

have to say that fiddling with the shq options also made it possible for reinforcements to arrive on their destinations again.

this had not happened for about a year or so, can't imagine how the simulated soldiers would feel about that ;)

a whole country booming enjoying luxury and technology advancements but relieving some soldiers on a front that could have worked out differently

i imagine hippies rising everywhere!

If the bottleneck overlay shows black areas, it means the logistics points on those hexes were used up, preventing any further supplies or reinforcements to travel that direction.
You either need to build another truck station or upgrade your existing ones and extend their range with supply bases.
