Some Basic Questions

Post by Damascus »

I have the original WitP and the Matrix update. Just bought WitPAE and have a question or two. In the original you can easily change HQs from human to computer. I can't find a way to even list HQs now. Also, selecting a list of TFs and clicking on one doesn't take me to where it is. How do I locate it? Also can't see icons as they are very small and land map is confusing to my eye; it hides things.

Forget most everything you learned from the original WitP.

WitP:AE is almost completely different.

1. There is no way to assign AI to do part of your job in WITPAE alas
2. Click on the location column to the right, not TF name
3. There are some graphic mods that make map lighter, eg https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3696410 Dunno about icons

A nice place to start looking for things is here:

But also don't forget to read the patch notes in the readme files.

Read Sardaukar’s AAR’s, he’s made a few specifically to show what to do, and how to do it, to beginners.

And welcome !
