Will the Steam installation enable cloud saves?

I switch playing games between my desk during the day and my laptop in an easy chair in the evening.

Must of the games I play conveniently have cloud saves. Admittedly it is not much trouble to copy a savegame over to my own cloud storage, but an automatic system is more convenient.
