Painting Zones

Post by eddieballgame »

When acquiring multiple 'zones' (either via conquering or 'friendly' means) can one over paint his main zone.
I did this in a game & am now in 'lack of resource hell'. [:)]

Not sure if that is the exact reason why, however.

As a follow up, I repainted my main zone to increase the other zones territories & it appears to be helping...we will see.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't get resources, other than using up all of your city's manpower and they are too spread thin to operate your mines and so forth. There is also "administrative strain" that can happen for assets farther than six hexes away from your zone city. But that causes a negative to the governor's bonus, so it shouldn't affect the resources.

Were you able to figure out why painting with a different zone caused the loss of resources?

It appeared to alleviate some of 'admin strain', but not completely.
I am in the process of just creating some more zones to try & sort this out.
I think that is may main problem, relying on newly acquired cities to resolve this.
