Screen lockups playing pbem

Will playing beta 10u23 and the official 1.091 on the same computer, but one instance is a stand-alone download and the other is a Steam game downloaded to my Steam games account, cause problems with stability?
I ask because I am having lockup issues when trying to purchase units, an issue I saw long ago and have never experienced since it was fixed until now. The problem as I see it is that both instances use the same scenario folder so there are some things in the beta that are different than the official.
I may be the only one that has often tried to keep two instances of a game on my computer, one being the official version and one on which I use the many mods and betas as they come out.

There should not be a data difference. I actually can't change the data to add or subtract or it impacts everyone's game.

I need more details.... When does it lock up? During play when you hit send?

I'll PM you following your instructions when I open the next pbem turn. I would guess that my opponent is not having this issue, only me, which is why I thought about what running two instances with different versions (official and beta) might do.
What happens is I open the production screen, then open the deploy new unit screen, then when I open the production screen again its locked and I can't purchase anything. I can get out of that screen by pushing escape, but even when I try again its still locked.

I am think this has to do with that small window gap of the 1.00.09 vs 1.00.091 version files I had to fix. Quite possible you had a game with that gap version.

After you follow my PM instructions I will be able to figure it out.
