Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive is the fourth wargame in the Decisive Campaign series. Covering the battles in the Ardennes between December 1944 and January 1945, it brings to life Operational wargaming by lowering the scale to just above tactical level.

Drive to St.Vith scenario

This scenario "Drive to St.Vith"(16-20 dec.1944 20 turns), focus on the initial German attempt to smash the enemy defences through the Losheim Gap, trying to repeat the action of 1940.
This time the attack had mixed result, from one side the American command confusion caused the nearly destruction of the green 106th Infantry Division, transferred on that quiet front on place of the veteran 2nd Infantry division.
On the other side the German spearheads were too slow for the bad roads, bad supply, the daily search for fuel and the very strong enemy artillery that blasted all the time every German assault .

The scenario map is 70 x 32 hexes (1hex = 1km)
