Combat losses

Post by AlessandroD »

Hi all,

maybe I have missed the post that explains how the combat losses are calculated, if so my apologies.

If not, someone can give me more infos how are resolved?
In WitE1 the casualties during the combat were very few, for heavy losses the enemy had to retreat, will we see some improvement in WitE2?

Thanks

at one level its the same concept, a destroyed element generates a mix of dead and wounded men and destroyed or badly damaged vehicles.

But - the combat engine has been reworked from the base up since WiTW so some combat situations can generate huge losses. But weak units (low morale/exp/TOE) forced to retreat (& esp more than once) risk a fairly catastrophic collapse. Or to put it in other words in 1944 a badly beaten Pzr Division may still retreat in some order, a LW ground formation is likely still to be running a week later.
