Attack carriers on ground targets.

Tell me what determines the success of an aircraft carrier attack on a ground target?
For example, my opponent for Japan easily destroys my corps and armies in China and even British units in Singapore, protected by AA on 2. At the same time, I can not do anything to the usual garrisons of Italy in the same Ethiopia. I switched the carriers and the bombing mode and into mixed, nothing works. What's the secret here?

Naval Weapons Upgrade helps with attack.y guess is also, that those japanese carriers have a lot of experience. Entrenched Units have also better protection, like in cities and mountains.

I do not know much about formulas in the game. I mostly just try out things. But 8f i remember correctly, each step on naval warfare gives 0,5 bonus on ground attack.

Maybe someone else can bring more light into this issue.

Hi IIo4Tu,

There is a general combat formula that applies to all unit types, including Carriers. I would suggest taking a look at page 171 in the User Manual for more information.

Supply, readiness, morale, experience, research levels are all factors. Readiness info can be found on page 168.

Even an inexperienced and not upgraded CV will do "damage" even if it doesn't reduce the enemy units strength. Each strike lowers the enemy units readiness and morale, making them an easier target for your ground troops.
