Combat Mission returns with a brand-new chapter set between 1979 and 1982. This was the tipping-point of a conflict that gripped the world for 45 years, the Cold War.


Both the NATO and Soviet Warsaw Pact militaries begin to move away from the industrialized warfare of the early 20th century and towards the modern digital battlefield of today.


Developed by Battlefront, Combat Mission Cold War comes with 15 standalone scenarios set in the US V and VII Corp sectors of West Germany and 3 full length campaigns.


Prepare your best tactics and strategies: Cold War is coming soon, and things will be heating up when it arrives.

One thing i didn't see in the product description was any reference to a battle generator and no mention of quick battle maps? Did i miss it?

There is no Battle Generator. There is a fully featured Scenario Editor and map maker.

There are also Quick Battles: From the product page.

RealTime and WeGo head to head play can also use TCP/IP on a LAN or over the Internet. Massive replayability comes from a unique Quick Battle system which allows players to purchase their own custom force and fight over the battlefield of their choice from a wide array of different maps. A powerful map and scenario Editor allows you to create battles or campaigns for yourself and others.

Hope to see more advance damage modeling when any tanks other AFVs hits , such as ammunition cooking and turret go to air.

Looking forward to this one BattleFront. Been playing Combat Mission since the very first one came out. Combat Mission is what made me switch from Steel Panthers to Combat Mission as the best tactical simulation/wargame out there. Nice to see BattleFront is now on Matrix too, let's hope that helps them out.
