Abyssinia supply woes

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Abyssinia supply woes

Post by Illiniwek80 »

I just started this game (from GOG) but am a WW2 strategy game vet going back to 1975, and SCEU. I began with the 1938 campaign and decided to focus on the Italians in Africa, figuring that would highlight how supply works since it was opaque in SCEU. The 1938 campaign does not allow you to build any new units before Sept 1, 1938. Also, Abyssinia is full of what looks like dirt roads (I admit I am having a lot of trouble distinguishing the washed out color scheme in this game, and wish the map was all white). There is no way to establish a supply line with the limited resources available to take Adis Abbaba. You are basically in a fruitless war of attrition. Furthermore, it sticks one corps in the middle of nowhere that can't sprint anywhere with supply before it just evaporates. Has anyone beaten this?

Shouldn't this post be in the SC World at War forum? Abyssinia isn't even represented on the map in SC War in Europe.

1938? You must be playing a mod?

oLa Tanaka,

Its probably the '1938' mod that comes in the community pack. The Ethiopian AO is a bit wonky in this mod. I don't think it was wholly tested....
