What Perseverance is seeing - right now

Amazing. All you need is a smartphone (but anything that connects to YouTube should be fine) and you can see through Perseverance's "eyes".

In case you missed it, here is the touchdown video. Very cool.

Just in case it has slipped past anyone's attention,
there is a really good forum named unmannedspaceflight.com.

It covers basically all unmanned missions (past and present)
and is useful when you want to keep following details
of a mission after it fades from the "Yeah baby, we did it!!"
limelight.

There is one drawback. They do not allow any discussion
of the possibility of alien life even when that is a
mission's objective. This can cause a lot of consternation
and bruised emotions.

Still, I think it worth visiting to have a look around
if space is one of your interests.

This is the forum specifically dedicated to Perseverance,
Perseverance Forum
And this is the link to the overall site itself,

Apparently, all the cameras employed in the descent and landing were just off-the-shelf, ruggedized sports cameras, with next-to-no modifications. Awesome. [8D]

Actually that's the view from Curiosity, the rover that has been on Mars since 2012. Which would explain the tracks and the red dust accumulations. The title of the video is 'Curiosity Explores.'

Wasn't Curiosity supposed to go up Mount Sharp? Looks like it's going away from it.

My bad. [:(] But... was this channel up since Curiosity arrived on Mars? I don't remember ever seeing it.
