Questions about LBs

Post by morejeffs »

I am playing the Allies and my devious IJN opponent has sent a large LB fleet (something like 20 of the little suckers) into
Singapore where between mines and the guns they were blown to smithereens... But of course it burns my supply and mines....[:(][&:]

I am not complaining but how does LB generation work?

Please tell me what I am missing
1. Do they cost 1 supply point to create?[8|]
2. I assume zero victory points[&o]
3. How do the pools work? Does Japan have the ability to spawn infinite amounts of these annoying gnats?
4. What other points should I be aware of?[X(]

Thanks in advance!

1) Supply,I forget how much off the top of my head.
2) No victory points.

I would consider this a gamey tactic. If so, remember that and then when it is your turn do things like one PT Boat TFs harassing his invasions off Luzon, getting his ships to play bumper ships. Do so on low visibility nights - little or no moonlight and/or overcast at a minumum.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Thank you Ranger Joe.

Does he get infinite respawning privileges? Or is there a limit to the LB that one gets?

There are people who play the game (simulate history) and those who seek to defeat the game application software.

I am not sure how many there are and whether or not there are respawning for those.

Just remember to put out a few xAKL in front of your carrier fleets when it comes to a carrier fight. They might soak up some of the enemy aircraft.

I believe they are 1 vp each, but not shown so as to not clutter the screens.

There are a couple of different style barges with different capactities.

They are manufactured, there is a finite number of them which get released to a pool for creation using supply.

They come in very handy for Japan late game ferrying around emergency reinforcements 1-3 hexes around Honshu.

So feel good about the losses you inflicted.[:)]

Thank you! If the are like PT boats and there is a limit to them then I am thrilled
