PC crash after trying to start game

So, decided to play again after a long time. Had 1.12.05 Beta, the intro didnt work, no movie no nothing but it did show the loading screen and then I could play the game, however it still looked like the "old" WITE. Deicided to validate the game and got it updated to 1.12.06 but now the game freezes during the black screen intro, and the game freezes the whole PC. Did a few restarts of PC and game but no change, everything freezes. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the game but apart from being able to move the pointer during the black screen intro for a few seconds the game freezea again together with the PC. So what am I to do?

Also tried starting the game using the compability mode for Win 8 but same result

I tried starting the game through explorer and WarInTheEast.exe and it works, its from 2021-02-24 but it is still the old game
