Norwegian Cold War Airforce Questions

I am working on a more accurate OOB for the Norwegian Airforce c1979. Had a few questions so the Norwegian airforce had a problem with the F-5 and its fatigue. They originally wanted to operate 4 squadrons of 20 F-5 aircraft. However this was not possible so it was decreased to 16 aircraft ultimately went down to 3 squadrons. The 336 Squadron, also has all of Norway's RF-5As, 338 Squadron and the 718 Squadron which has a lot of the forces F-5Bs. Currently my squadrons look like:
336 Squadron: 4 F-5B, 12 RF-5A
338 Squadron: 2 F-5B, 14 F-5A
718 Squadron: 6 F-5B, 10 F-5A
These current forces consist of all available of F-5Bs and RF-5As however I am running into an issue and that is that the current Norwegian F-5 force is currently 82 aircraft: 57 F-5A, 13 F-5B, 12 RF-5A. I am beginning to run into the problem that why do I end up with nearly half of the forces F-5As not being used? The data I have is all aircraft that have crashed which was 21 aircraft lost. But 57 aircraft in 3 squadrons is already near 20 aircraft per squadron that's not even including F-5Bs and RF-5As. I cannot tell if I have overlooked something or what I am doing wrong here. I have 82 active aircraft for 3 active squadrons. That's my biggest problem and I know that's how many airframes they have because I have spent my time hunting down the serial numbers. However I only have the years they left the service I did not find any data on those which are GI airframes which is something I could have overlooked. My other question is does anyone have any more offical numbers on Norways airforce squadrons c1979? As you can tell I am doing 16 aircraft but I end up with nearly half of my fleet not in active squadrons haha. Not sure if I overlooked something or just messed up somewhere. Anyways any information would definately help!

I was pretty sure that 718 were using the RF-5s. Certainly ~1990 the 700 series squadrons were the ones with the special capabilities while the 300 series were the front line squadrons.

Have you looked at 332 & 334 Sqn? I thought they used the F-5s until the Falcons came on line.

Thanks for the quick response! 332 squadron was completely disbanded in 73 and then 334 squadon became a CF-104 squadron because they did not have enough F-5s.

Also looked into the RF-5s and in 1982 they were operating with the 336 Squadron that may be because 718 converted into F-16s by that time. I may have messed that up will have to dig into that a little more.

Edit: Looked into it a little more looks like they went to 336 squadron after 81, so I think I had 718 and 336 squadrons backwards.
