Nukes/Scripts/Editor

Post by wobbleguts »

Hi,

Playing as CW. A few script changes chosen - no Africa corp, no nukes, soft build, no oil embargo on Japan, no end date etc.

It's gone well. China/Italy/Africa/France liberated. Germany defeated. I kept it more or less historically correct, but I did conquer Turkey a bit. When Germany gave up, I occupied Denmark before the reds got there and conquered Sweden to steal all their salmon.

My plan was to get a few extra MPPs for the CW and get the USA to declare war on Russia. Obviously this can only happen if Japan is still fighting, otherwise the game would end. So I am squeezing Japan - not crushing them. But I just got a message that the US are preparing to nuke Japan. How is that possible? I turned that off in the scripts. Random game message?

Also, can the US declare war on Russia while they are supposed to be allies? Can't seem to do it. Would like the option to do that.

EDITOR: I am RTFM. I want to play as the CW again. I want additional MPPs at the game start, increased loyalty from UK colonies and better soft build figures.

I also DO NOT want to ship MPP's to Russia.

Any help on what to edit is appreciated.

Random game message yes.

Alas the ally/enemy thing is pretty much locked into stone-a Major is one or the other, even when nominally neutral. You can toggle Russia to the Axis side tho if desired...

Easy to edit a given country in the editor-starting MPPs are available in the upper right of the main country screen. Readiness of a given minor (I assume that is what you mean by "loyalty") is in the top middle somewhere.

I also DO NOT want to ship MPP's to Russia.

It isn't compulsory to send the USSR any MPPs, as in game the UK can adjust the amount it sends via convoy at any time.

To do this, go to War Maps (at the top of the screen); click on Convoys and then click on the British flag. Use the arrow buttons to reduce the amount sent to the USSR.

Note: You might need to do this when the USSR joins the Allies, rather than at the start of the game.

Nor does the US have to send any MPPs to the USSR, as it can say no to the Decision Event asking them if they want to send supplies to Vladivostok.

Thanks. I stopped the UK convoys to Russia a different way by deselecting the Russia convoy options in the scripts when starting the game. This worked. No money to Russia.

I looked at the war map as you suggested. The UK is getting supplies from Canada/S Africa/Australia/India/Egypt. Not supplying stuff to Russia though this time.

Yes I can edit the amount sent by India, but not the other nations. They just have a set rate which I cannot change. All greyed out. India will allow me to reduce the amount transferred but I can't increase it.

Is this something you have to change in the editor?

Yes, as only the amounts sent by a Major can be modified during a game.

You can either modify the convoy scripts directly, or de-activate them via the Options screen as you did with the UK convoy to the USSR.

Having problems uploading my turns for SC2 and SC1 tourneys. Game saves but refuses to upload. Tha game name goes Italic Green but not red as I remember it. Any suggestions would be welcome. I have tried reloading the game.

Love to put a fatty on Tokyo.
Japs shouldn't be allowed to occupy Hiroshima or Nagasaki after dusting without some damage.

Hi Bob,

I responded in the other thread, we can continue there if this is still an issue.
