I was allowed a sneak prieview to develop some AAR's (two) for the new game. They will likely be posted on Jef's site as well as on the formal HTTR site.

Check this one out.

Yakstock,

Impressive, as usual.
Very good work. I liked the way you described some new features as well.

The screenshots look much better than the sneak previews from Dave. Good work Panther !!

Can't wait to have the real thing at hand :)

Cheers,

JeF.
PS: I received your mail. I'm working on the update. Thanks.

Just like to endorse comments from JeF - thought I preferred the RDOA graphics but actually rather like the new ones (more subdued than the early screenshot releases) - and what great reading. Well done Yackstock!

As is usual with me, a couple of questions:

Is the OOB layout a feature of the new game, and is the briefing for each scenario as detailed?

Also noticed that R.1CO has Platoon (Troop) icon rather than a Company (Squadron) one, yet it has a combat power of 5 and (I presume) 9 Cromwells. Is this a mistake?.

No mistake, the Recce Troop at full strength had 11 light tanks.

Once they get into contact, I've found that combat power tends to go down pretty quickly as the Cromwells and Stuarts are not exactly robust.

Very nice AAR!!! It may sound funny but you definitely have a knack for detailing these battles in a way that is very entertaining. Good Job! The game has some very nice additions and alot more possible scenario options. I cannot wait for this and the other games Matrix is releasing. Gonna be a great summer!!

OOB

Post by Yakstock »

TMO - The OOB is not presented that way in the game - I cut and pasted it. In the editor there is a view of the OOB and I wil use it in my next AAR.

A well deserved *BUMP* to the top of the list for this good work.

And a small announcement : the AAR is up in HTML form in the AAR section of the Drop Zone .

Enjoy.
