SHP/OOB update?

Post by bchapman »

Just wondering how the update is coming along. Getting harder and harder to be patient :) .
Thanks for all the hard work,

Bryan Melvin and Panzer Leo should be releasing their respective patches any day now. The last deadline I've seen from either of them has passed, but you know how that goes: think you have everything wrapped up and then find 10 more things that need doing. :D

Thanks Tracer, Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything while I was gone on vacation.

In the case you want to start making maps with the new shape files, Tracer will give you access to them, right Tracer?:D

The terrain and OOB stuff each works as "standalone", so you can start making maps now and then at a later time play with new 7.2 OOBs on them.:)

Absolutely! If anyone wants them, I'll either e-mail em or provide the link. You can place them in your existing SPWAW installation (any version) and they won't affect any on-going games; the upcoming patches will contain the exact same files. I'm actually involved in 2 PBEMs on maps that use the new graphics.

The zipped SHPs are 2.29mb, and I also made a 500k zip of images that show all the new icons (except Ter90). If anyone is currently making a map, they should keep in mind that everyone that applies the new H2H or v7.2 patch will have these SHPs; and while the majority of the changes are additions that won't affect existing maps, one category (6-military) was completely redone.

Thanks Harry, Tracer,
Could you send me the link? Not sure how well my email system will handle a file that size.
Thanks,
:D

The shp files will be added to 7.2 oob patch as well :)

Also, a new wav file will be added that will help with some of the silence several units made when moving!
