How do i move individual air units between bases or AOGs without AI assistent

Example: the, i believe II/JG 53 is in Neusiedel at game start, attached to the AOG JG 54. I want to attach it to the AOG JG 53.

Now i now how to change the AOG of II/JG 53( right click or left click), so no problem there. I also now how to relocate AOGs. no problem there either

But how do i get the individual air unit to fly to the AOG JG 53 airbases?

1)Does it happen automatically in the air execution phase?

2)Do i have to move them to the reserve first and then back on the map?

3)Will they only move there once i relocate the bases of AOG JG 53?

4)or do i have to move them manually, and if so, how? manual says 17.3.1 and 17.3.2, but when you get there, those paragraphs are about the national reserve and moving units from and to it.

When do these manual airbase transfers happen relative to air directives? I.e. Do the AOGs first move to the new airbase, and then try to conduct directives, or vice versa?

Depends on your AOG settings. If on flexible, they'll try to move in the air planning phase and the ADs will account for the new location. If set to retreat or advance, they'll move in the ground phase to give you a chance to readjust your Air Command HQs so the air units know where they should be moving to. Supply limitations can prevent the movement until the next logistics phase.

I think there is a bug in UI, as even when you want to tranfer 1 group - it is showing required capacity for the whole AOG to a new airfield.

And only by looking at a number near transfer, lets say (1) when you have 6 groups - you can tell that 1 group is going to be transfered. Huge thanks to Lovenought for pointing this out.
