[108.05] Card does not improve relationship with leader

I'm trying to improve relationship with Alanna Titanwalker by playing "Bonus" card. However after successful skill roll nothing happens. Relationship is still 55. I have tried another card "Official Gift" on another leader. Rolled critical success but again, nothing changed.

Do the leaders in question have an Egoism stat of 0? If so, they don't care about money and it won't be possible to bribe them with it.
Not affiliated with Slitherine. They added it to my name when they merged the Slitherine and Matrix account systems.

Oh, there's a catch. However, I noticed this happened often so I checked my cabinet. What are odds that 8 out of 14 leaders have Egoism stat at 0?
