Supply, logistics and freight

Post by Karri »

I've edited scenarios a few times to see how the logistics work, but still have a hard time figuring things out. Increasing railyards seems to have the effect of supply flowing freely. However, there seem to be some bottlenecks that I have no idea of. Ammo, fuel and supplies seem to grow pretty steadily, as long as the unit is near a depot. But replacements don't. If the unit is on the frontline it will almost always see a negative replacement figure, which is disabled and damaged equipment moving.

What should change in order for the replacement to flow more freely, as long as stock and men are available in pool?

Also, even if supply depots have ample stocks, not all of it is distributed. What determines this? If there are enough supplies and freight, shouldn't the unit replenish immediately (like it does if on refit on a depot)?

Is there some maximum limit of freight that can move between single-line and double-line rail? Is there a way to increase this?

Location in editor have "freight" and "freight level", what do these mean and what do they do?

Well, decreasing load cost of rifle squads to 1 has a massive effect.
