Something's not right

WarPlan Pacific is an operational level wargame which covers all the nations at war in the Pacific theatre from December 1941 to 1945 on a massive game scale.

Something's not right

Post by FirstPappy »

I received an email from Slitherine this morning thanking me for being a beta tester for Warplan Pacific and giving me a code for a discount on the game. I did apply for the beta position but never received an acceptance response so I did not participate at all.

I won't be using the discount code as I've already bought the game but I would have happily paid full price even if I was originally selected.

Just thought someone at Matrix/Slitherine might want to know in case this was more widespread than myself.

Very honest of you BTW. Good quality. I would have done the same thing.

Has beta testers having to pay (albeit discounted) for the game always been part of Matrix's MO?

I would very much doubt it. Any game that allows HMS Warspite to be sunk is not a wargame, but a monstrous carbuncle that has no more right to be on God's clean earth than a weasel.... FACT.

So NO, you didn't sink the Grand Old Lady, understand?
