Something strange just happened!

Something strange just happened!

Post by markwatson360 »

I was playing the solomans scenario as the allies vs AI and had a carrier group near to Hendersons Field. Next turn my carrier group suddenly changed sides! when I clicked on it it said "unknown ships in the area". So I saved the game, then reloaded it and the ship counter had turned beige colour, just out of interest I attacked this group with a nearby sub and found allied and axis ships all combined into a single counter, I have the save file .

You can zip the save and upload it to wetransfer.com, and post the link here.

No I can't, I get a message saying i'm not allowed to post links for 7 days after my 10th message, I can e-mail the files to whoever may want them. I have the autosave and the file I saved manually. The autosave is the situation at the end of my previous turn where everything appears normal but when you click end turn the same thing happens.

No need for a file. This seems like a bug I need to track down.

#1 so the Allied A.I. went then you notice the merged fleets right?
#2 was there a CV battle or surface battle and if so was there a retreat?

Seems like one of the fleets moved on top of another and didn't check for an empty hex location. Move likely retreating from combat.

#1 I was the allies, I clicked end turn, there was no battle. next turn the units had merged. I've just watched the auto save again and there was a carrier interdiction by my group but no retreat, the enemy group was I think a heavy cruiser group and mabe a couple of destroyers off the coast of henderson field. It was an enemy carrier group which merged with mine, not the one which was interdicted. Hope this helps.

Clearly the offer of "Sushi and Sake Night" with dancing Geishas was too good for the US sailors to pass up!

Can you send me that autosave so I can replay it and see what happened?
