[WAD] Unlimited Guards Rifle Corps in late '41/early '42?

Playing as the Soviets in the 1941 GC, I've been waiting for the news update saying that I can create rifle corps.

So for shits and giggles, I put two guards rifle divisions and a normal rifle division in the same hex and click 'merge'. Much to my surprise that gave me a guards rifle corps in ... probably late December '41.

Naturally, I went on a buildin spree, so 3 turns later I have probably 7 guards rifle corps, while I still cannot build a normal rifle corps. Is this a bug or WAD?

well the first is WAD and fully documented in the manual

More than 2 is clearly a bug and needs to reported as such

Well, after little Jim got the coughing disease and got fired by Mr. Gamfield the chimney sweeper, a cheque would sure bring joy, but to be honest, I’ll be damned if I know. I just tried it, and it worked.

If you can figure out how you managed to do it, and/or attach a save so we can make it happen, let us know. There is a limit of 2 Guard corps from 9/41 - 4/42. The limit goes up in May 42, but the non-guards aren't available until June 42.

Try this one. You should be able to make a Guards Rifle Corps out of the 41st Gds RD, the 24th Gds RD and any non-withdrawing Soviet division.

My mistake. You can build up to 41 rifle corps starting January 1942, but you can't build any non-guard rifle corps until the OB becomes available in June 42. Usually not an issue but you are trashing the AI in your game and well on your way to victory.

Yeah, I didn't treat it as a bug, until you said it wasn't WAD. And challenging is much more challenging, and requires slower, more careful play.

Proceeding slowly at a challenging game, but continuing this romp to see if I can conquer Berlin by October 1942.
