. Over the years i've had multiple playthroughs ruined by the matrix PBEM servers because of the lack of "previous" turns to roll back to in case of bugs. If it's an intentional design decision ok, but games with only PBEM I tend to play less long term just because it takes control away from the players and puts it into a pretty crudely implemented ftp system. It's been out for years and years and despite requests to matrix it hasn't been improved.
Sure it makes it easy to find an opponent but you're one misclick away from ruining your match.
