China cooperation with Burma

Post by Remington700 »

The rules are clear – China does not cooperate with other major powers thus cannot move into Burma if it is under British control. Once it becomes Japanese controlled then the Chinese have free movement. However, they can only move once, switching territorial control back to the UK. Since they cannot move into UK territory with their next move the unit becomes stuck. Unless it is on their own border and moves back into China.

Should China ever be able to enter Burma?

I like the ability to do cross border raids into Japanese held territory. This adds a nice complexity and forces Japan to respect the border with China.

Maybe those hexes should become Chinese controlled territory then, when taken by their troops? ;)

King George VI might disagree with you on that :)

Chinese units should be forced to stay in China. At least that is my 2 cents.

That's not historical. Chinese troops fought in Burma, no question.

Well the one issue I have seen in my game is the Japanese player leaves most of the border hexes under UK control so that the Chinese can't move. That is a bit off...

They should switch to someone...they have been out of supply for months yet stayed UK.

It is for game balance. If they are allowed to cooperate the UK would be in China, China would be in India.
