FAQ for Eagle Day playing the British?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

FAQ for Eagle Day playing the British?

Post by diamond dave »

I have looked all over this forum and I find plenty of tips for BoR and Eagle Day for the Germans, but I can't find a thing for the British side playing Eagle Day. Is there a FAQ or tips and tricks for the British as far as intercepting the German raids without suffering undue losses or getting all their infrastructure and airfields torn up? I'd also like to know what can be done about low morale squadrons, I have one with 10 morale and I don't know how to fix it other than to completely withdraw it from the battle area. Any help would be appreciated.

I found it really hard playing the British. You have to rotate squadrons into quieter sectors otherwise they will become ineffective to the point of wasting fuel sending them up. Pick which raids to challenge and don't be afraid to break off combat. Live to fight anther day. The long campaign is exactly about trading the right amount of damage for time. You can afford quite a bit of damage in the area covered by the 109's range, fight tooth and nail for anything further inland.
If you are playing the '41 scenario don't under estimate the Italians. Their bombers carry a decent payload and they have some strange ideas about flight plans!
