How many mines are there in "combat round" of ML, DM and SS?

Post by Apollo11 »

Hi all,

As we all know the UV calculates the ammo in "combat rounds" instead of actual
shells/torpedoes/mines.

But I am wondering how many actual mines are there in "combat round" of ML, DM and SS?

NOTE: SS can usually carry 2, Allied DM 30, Japanese ML 60/75/125/150...

Any ideas gentleman?

Easy as 2 x 2.

one combat round = one mine.

mine capacity of vessel = number of weapons by amount of ammo.

Examples from UV
USN DM's Mk 16 mine capacity = (number of weapons = 2) x (amount of ammo = 40) = 2 x 40 = 80 Mk 16 mines (which was its historical capacity).

USN S-Class Mk 10 mine capacity = 4 x 2 = 8 Mk 10 mines (+ 4 21" torps).
Have no fear,
