Especially for the Soviets that move units around a lot between the map and the reserve it's a bit of a struggle to always make sure you don't click the wrong theater box option when transferring (it may be my imagination, but do they even change the order sometimes?). Anyway, its really easy to select the wrong TB option when you're in the process of moving a bunch, and then your unit is gone forever.
