PBEM question

Post by daddog »

Hi Gents,

Started a PBEM game over week ago with a friend, (cup). We are up to turn 9. This weekend I started another with someone else. He (bax) sent me his turn (he is IJN also) and I saved the combat save file in the saved game file as usual. Problem is when I am play the combat save file in UV it plays the #9 combat save file with against cup.

In the save directory I see combat save files from 1 to 9. Bax's combat save file over wrote my #1 combat save file with cup. How do I get it to play the new #1 combat save file with bax and not the #9 combat save file with cup?

Thanks in advance! :)

You'll need to delete all the "uv001_combatsave" files and then save the one you're wanting to see. As it stands there is no way to "pick" a particular replay file to view.

Ok, thank you sir!

Odd it does not just over write what is there. So it sounds like I might as well delete all the combat save files as I go along if I am playing 2 different players.

Yup you will, but only if you're playing the Allies. Due to the date extension on the save files, your save directory will rapidly fill up.

If you're Japan this won't happen as the returned file will overwrite the old one. HTH
