Depleted Units TOE 'Upgrade'

When my Soviet Tank Brigades are depleted (for a nano second) their TOE is 'upgraded' to the 41a Tank Brigade.

Is this WAD? and if it is can we have a better message?

both start as tank divisions and have a scheduled rename/reform to TBr (if depleted) from Turn 12 on.

This is T54 and they were already Tank Brigades. So they have gone from 42a back to 41a. They were depleted after Axis attack and have recovered to unready in the logistics phase so I never see them as depleted.

Probably a timing issue. The 16th Tank Division is set to convert to the 16th Tank Brigade if it becomes depleted on or after Turn 12 using the 41a Tank Brigade OB. If the 16th Tank Division doesn't become depleted until January 1942, then it will still convert to that 41a Tank Brigade OB even though there are newer OBs available. The unit is going to have to work its way through the OB upgrades.

On Turn 32 the 16th Tank Division, like nearly all my Tank Divisions on that turn, upgrades to a 42a Tank Brigade TOE (on turn).

On Turn 54, the 16th Tank Brigade, assigned as a support unit to an Inf formation, after a nasty Axis assault, 'upgrades' to a 41a Tank Brigade TOE (DEPLETED). (When I look it is 50% TOE and unready).

Is this WAD? I think it is a bug but there is something in the manual about depleted support units, somewhere....
