Air Group with too many planes

Post by NiclasCage »

Is there any easy way to do something about this? I have a group of B-17s at Clark Field with a maximum of 3 'active' aircraft, but with a total of 11 planes. No reserves, they are all ready or being maint'd/repaired.

Fly them to another base. The disabled ones can rail to Manila and get repaired quicker that way sometimes.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

A squadron of size 3 will not have more than 3 ready planes (unless some special shenanigans). I get it all other planes are damaged and it takes a long time for them to repair given their high service level. But if they do repair and there are 3 planes ready already they go into squadron reserves and you an place them in the pool.

Get them somewhere with lots of air support and preferrably safe from Jap bombing (which will add up damage)

Disband the squadron
Repairing planes will be destroyed though unless you disband into another squadron with the same airframe
