Airborn corps in Stalingrad to Berlin

In the Stalingrad to Berlin campaign the Sowjets get several airborn corps as reinforcements on turn 3 into the reserves and on the same turn these are disbanded from the reserves. Is this a bug or is there any deeper sense?
