Oil Use

Post by aoffen »

A quick question re oil use for land units.

The Manual states on page 47 :
Oil Use – How much oil a unit uses to move and attack. An oil- dependent unit uses oil only once for movement no matter how many times it stops to attack. Land and air units use oil each time they attacks. ......

Then on page 70 its says :
Oil Use In Combat – Oil dependent units also use oil to attack and defend. Land and air units will use their oil use factor every time they attack in a turn. They will use it once if they move. .....

I initially though these two rules contradicted each other but re-reading them they don't. My understanding was just wrong. For clarification though, does that mean an armoured unit with an oil use of 2, that moved and did say 3 attacks would use 8 oil in a turn?

Cheers

Alvaro sorry a bit confused

You said
"They pay oil once from moving and only one " I suspect that's a typo and you meant "once and only once", but just to be sure, they still use their oil consumption rating for their move right? i.e. my calculation of 8 oil used was correct - 2 oil for the move (even if split between attacks) and 2 for each attack.
