Night time?

Post by Huskalator »

What do you guys do with your units at 0:00?

My first inclination is to let the men sleep for godsake but I'm not sure that's optimal or even what would actually happen in game terms. What do?

I'm inclined to let men sleep and resupply if possible. Night movements more than 1 or 2 hexes seems to have elevated risk of ambush. Dropping arty on known enemy positions also seems worthwhile, although actual effect idk. I'm sure recon is also degraded at night so you probably don't get accurate reports on bombardments.

Probably not a bad time to reorg forces.

Night attacks? idk.

+1 to what sfbaytf said, especially because there is a bonus to recovery for units not moving during night turns.

Maybe American paras and Rangers, if represented in game might be a little better at night attacks due to training? Don't know if that is in game. Might not be a bad card to have in game. Use a night attack card at right moment.

Experienced troops suffer lower penalties when engaged in night fighting
