Truck Column

Post by Toby42 »

There is a card to assemble a truck column. I've searched the manual under card, supply and truck. Can't find anything! What does a truck column do?

A Truck column is basically a transport unit with trucks in order to load up leg borne units to move them quicker. Also helpful to replace your motor pool as Germans, if the OOB allows trucks. So, you can motorize some Kampfgruppen with additional trucks if you transfer them into the unit(s).

It create a truck column unit full of simple trucks.

This unit move quickly although very fragile, have awesome carrying capacity, and can be use to carry/transport another units (like foot infantry&guns) in a fast motorized way.

Or you can uses the trucks as replacement by transfering them to another unit, a battleGroup or by disbanding it and let the trucks go to an HQ as replacements.

I tested the US card (10 AP), it provide a truck column of 90 trucks, while a US motorized infantry regiment (an heavy one) have like 50/60.

The german one worth 30 AP and provide only 60 Trucks. Clearly german have fewer ressources.
