Blurred text with opening screens

Hello. When starting CM the opening screen is clear and can easily see the choices of Battle, Quick Battle, etc. but when Campaign is selected the screen graphics and text are blurred. Then, I'll select Fight! and the game options screen appears blurred too. Select OK then everything clears up and the game display fills the screen. So, the opening game options screens are where I experience the blurring of text. I'm guessing it's a screen resolution problem that clears up when starting a scenario/campaign. A fix be nice but the game plays fine. Using Win10, i7-4.2GHz, 16GB Ram, Nvidia Geoforce 1060, screen resolution: 2560x1440.

Text Blur is sometimes incorrect Antialiasing - FXAA settings or DPI Settings on higher resolutions etc. Try the following settings in your Nvidia control panel.

Configure Surround, PhysX

Select - Nvidia Geforce 1060

Note: If your motherboard has inbuilt intel graphics card and your Configure Surround, PhysX is set to the Auto-select (Recomended) setting, then Combat mission may be running on the intel card (GPU) and not your Nvidia Geforce 1060 card.

Manage 3d Settings

Image Sharpening - Off
Antialiasing-FXAA - Off
Antialiasing-mode - Application Controlled
Antialiasing-Transperancy - Off
DSR-Factors - Off
Multi-Framed Sampled AA (MFAA) - Off
Verticle Sync - Use the 3D application setting

DPI Settings

Go to your Combat Mission root directory - find the application for the game ( same looking icon as the exe icon on your desktop to launch game)

Right click the application and then click on 'Properties', next click on the "Compatibility" tab, click on "Change High DPI Settings", at the bottom of the next popup under 'High DPI Scaling Override' click the checkbox - choose default 'Application' setting in the dropdown or experiment with other settings if you think default is not working, but generally default is fine.

Hopefully some of the above fixes your text problem.

TableTop66, Your suggestions worked like a charm! All screens prior to play are totally clear and readable. I haven't played Combat Mission in about 20 years and I was really looking forward to the improved graphics and now I have the eye-candy I was hoping for from the beginning. Thanks, man, you really helped a guy out.[:)]
