90NM German division

Is it a hidden gem and i should look for more divisions like this and make an super elite group with a Model?
Or it is randomized in the start of the game?
Or only this division is special?
Or its a bug?

I think that's the famous 78th Sturm DIV, back in my WITE1 days I used to attach the 2 heavy Pz Battalions that arrive in 1943 and turn it into a adhoc Pz DIV.

It was brutal against the AI, don't think I could get away with that against a human player [:D]

It is an Elite unit. You can find this in the CR screen in the Elt column marked with an E. This gives it an NM that is 15 higher than normal.

Yep indeed it is the only 1 special with 90 NM. No elite group for Model

I motorize this unit, specifically for its morale potential.

You need to engage it early on in combat to reach the 90 morale potential.

78th Sturm DIV

Is it an elite unit from Summer 1941 onwards? May I ask why?

Formed not until end of August 1939 as part of the 2nd Mob wave. No combat experience at all in France 1940 b/c of medical quarantine. In autumn 1940, 25% of personnel was substituted by raw recruits.

In Winter 1941 got close to Moscow. In 1942 fighting around Rzev. End of 1942 had only 1.500 personnel. Had to be reconstituted for nearly six months. Became the only Sturmdivision in the Heer by adding modern equipment.
